I am writing to express my support for Father Grzegorz Szczygieł, whose change of position and location I have recently learned of. This decision affects me deeply, as he officiated at our wedding.
Indeed, Father Grzegorz was, for me, the ideal person to accompany us on such a special occasion. His open-mindedness, genuine kindness, and profound humanity and simplicity make him a priest whose presence unites, soothes, and inspires.
His approach is both respectful of tradition and attentive to the realities of the people he meets. From our very first conversations, he created a rare atmosphere of trust, where everyone feels accepted for who they are.
It was precisely this quality of listening, this ability to bring people together and to bring faith to life with both modernity and depth, that convinced us he was the perfect person to celebrate such an important event as our union.
I hope that a solution will be found allowing Father Grzegorz to remain in his current parish and continue the work he has undertaken to this day, where he will be missed by all the parishioners.
